What Should I be eating this week?

8 comments:

  1. We are going to start out simple. So, your first assignment is to pick three items that you eat often and you think you shouldn’t. If soda pop is one of them ( even diet), definitely pick that. Maybe you have a weakness for ice cream every night before bed or a Double Espresso Machiatto in the morning. For this week we would like you to cut out or drastically reduce these three items – That all we ask!

  2. i am really frustrated, yes i drank soda and i am done with that, pasta is gone, wine. . . dramatically cut down and switched to red, i eat very healthy though, veggies and salads with every meal protein based breakfast, i guess exercising would be my main issue which i have kicked up an hour of cardio a day, i feel like i am starving myself, i am starting to get scared to eat because i am worried about it ruining my work out, is that normal, will i be able to share my food log with someone, i guess what i am trying to get at is how much is too much and how much is not enough. thank you for all your help and concern

For most people, the hardest part of losing weight is getting their eating plan worked out. It takes time for your body to adjust to a new eating plan, however, you should not feel like you are starving particularly when working out.

It is a good idea to plan your meals so that you eat somewhere around an hour to an hour and a half before working out and leave room in the plan for a snack containing some protein and carbohydrates within 30 minutes after working out.

The nutrition logging program will be up and running starting Tuesday (1/26) morning and we will be able to look at it. The logs will be discussed briefly in Thursday's 7pm class and we will also be offering a nutrition group once a week for the rest of the Biggest Loser program for $99 as well as individual consulting separate from the group if you are interested in more one-on-one help. Please utilize us, we have a lot of knowledge to share and we want everyone to be successful in this program.

Hi Em. It sounds as if you are already kicking things into full gear! That is great and you should recognize your accomplishments so far. I completely agree with what Alex said and we hope you will be able to attend Thursday's meeting. It sounds as if the nutrition group is exactly what you would be looking for. We are here to help you achieve your goals in a way that is reasonable and works for you. It can feel overwhelming right now, but you are on the right track you just need some help finding the perfect plan just for you!

  5. Em...be careful it doesn't become all about food. It could lead to problems with it later down the line.

  6. Eating well should be a lifestyle change but not an obsession or something you beat yourself up over. Anonymous makes a good point, it is very important to make healthy food choices but more important to have a healthy relationship with food.
